Disclaimer: Networking with professionals in your area of expertise is still the fastest route to being hired. However, as mentioned earlier, along the way you will use a resume and it needs to be better than their expectations and your competition’s content.

It is not enough to have a resume “that didn’t suck” (borrowing from the Carvana© commercial). A resume that does not suck means it is probably not good enough. You need more.

That is why my lectures have expanded to online classes and webinars.

Here, you can access what I know on your schedule from anywhere.

This idea of “Resume Psychology” ™ is simple: make your resume a meme, a mental virus for the human reader and a point-earning file by the technology. Learn to do both effectively.

The series started by explaining the technology; essentially job boards and career pages. It is much more today with apps that rank resumes and track candidates by status and resume scores.

The lecture series has been delivered live from Dallas to Denver and includes 2-books available on Amazon. Com.

The current books were designed to be a DIY, how-to series for generating consistent resume content. The goal was simple: crack the code on the resume black-hole. Be able to do it consistently. Be able to do it no matter the technology.

This means there are “fundamentals” or “common denominators” we can follow no matter what changes. If we know the fundamentals and use them, we can create a more effective resume; one that engages the hiring team and the technology.

This idea has a few assumptions: words are stored and read by both the technology and the human in a document called a resume. As long as we are using resumes, there are limits to what can be done with them and to them.

Leverage these fundamentals and you can beat the machine, be seen by a human and potentially get hired.

… back to the books… sorry…

The books are a fast read. There is “zero” fluff inside minus the back-story and introductions which are less than 3 or 4 pages.

All other pages contain an explanation, an action item or rule to follow. There are examples and checklists as well.

Have a question about the book email me and will do what I can to answer you in 48 hours (at no charge).

The differences between the books and their respective purposes is at the bottom.

Realize, writing is a process, it is a science. We leverage this truth with Resume Psychology.

Deal with it, the technology impacts the resume and is used by companies large and small given the price ranges. It used to be only large companies used tech to manage resumes. Today, cheap tech prices mean every medium size or larger company has it. We leverage this truth as well.

Master these fundamentals and you can be the master of your resume and drive recruiters to you effortless.

You goal is a job.

To get there you need to be fielding or managing 2 or more offers at any one time!

That sort pressure on yourself can be tough, but it also gives you the confidence that comes from having more options.

Connecting with Me

Email works. If you view my LinkedIn.Com profile you will find my email and I accept all connection requests. (Yes, you need to be on LinkedIn if you are looking for a job. It is the number one recruiter tool in most parts of the country).
